Oh right - it's coming back to me. We decided to head out to a snorkel spot at the south end of the Island. So we drove a fair distance, looked at the spot - basically you jump into the water off the road, so decided that it was not good for the kids. So we turned around and drove back to Dog Beach, where Ellis started to whine as soon as we got there "i wanna go home, i wanna go home.....Poor guy. He must get hot sitting there refusing to swim. He does start to resemble a tomato.
Mom took Rowan in - he does love it. She only tried to drown him once :) She got caught by a wave coming back in and it went right over both of their heads. Actually, Rowan seemed to like it. He has no fear of the water. Mom was like "I did not let go of him" So weird - I'm going to spend my life negotiating between the boys I'm sure. They do not like the same things!
We had been snorkeling before that - kept getting little stings on our arms. I'm convinced it was little round orange jellyfish, but mom saw something that looked like a black triangle with a long tail, so we disagreed. Saw one turtle - he looked happy - I decided I don't really like to see turtles swimming so close to me. I get nervous. I wonder who Ellis takes after.
In the afternoon, mom and dad went snorkeling at the spot and Tracey and Johnny went to Macy's leaving me with the rotters. Took them swimming - had enough and came in for early happy hour.
We went to Fred's Mex tavern for dinner - great fish tacos! The kids got glowsticks (from Aunty Tracey who tends to buy them at least one present a day) and ran the whole way home.
