We went to Denny's again this year for first breakfast. It was exhausting even with Tracey minding Ellis the entire time and I said "I think this is it for me for eating out."
Rowan was vocal - he has been practicing his attention getting shrieks. What happened to baby that would just lie there on the floor all morning watching things happen around him?
Afterwards I managed to dodge the Costco run (heh heh) and Rowan actually napped. I got to play a bit with Ellis - that was novel. It didn't last though. Just before the food got back from Costco I realized it had gotten awfully quiet upstairs. I went to check it out only to find Ellis in the bathroom stretching his hands under the tap. "I've got poo."
Yup - all over his hands. Ugh. I didn't lose it though. Been reading as my current parenting technique is not working.
The rest of the day was spent at the pool. Ellis sat on the steps of the pool while Rowan cavorted. I think Rowan likes the pool because he feels light.
Maui ribs and grilled pineapple for dinner - yay Tracey!
