We got a late start yesterday - Ellis slept in till about 10 and we couldn't figure out what we were doing. Telling Ellis we were going to Science Works got him going - he was very cooperative from that point on. We were on the road by about 11:00 and had driven about a block when I felt a bump and Cyp said "someone just hit us." Oh - is that what that was. I pulled around the corner and we all hopped out - couldn't tell if there was any new damage, but we got info and were on our way again. We were following this black SUV when Cyp got a call - "where are you?" Oh - we looked closer - that wasn't Sue and Bob! So I pulled a quick uturn in a driveway - crunch went the front of the car as I dropped off the curb. Darn. Then going back around a roundabout I hit the side of the car and the hubcap went flying. Okay - perhaps I was rattled by the accident or it could be the lattes that Bob makes us every morning. They taste so smooth going down but pack a wicked punch. Time to switch drivers. Cyp collected the hubcap and we were on our way again.
We finally made it to Science Works - yup - I was bored after about 10 minutes but Ellis could have moved in. We stayed about 3 hours - Sue and Bob left first as Esme wasn't feeling well and we followed shortly thereafter. We drove through Williamstown and by the beach - it was nice and then we went home.
Bob and Cyp were in charge of putting together the barbecue for our dinner - apparently, they needed beer first. Not sure it helped as about three hours later they were finally done. Sue and I set up the badminton net while we waited and had some short games. For once Ellis ate all of his dinner - and then it was bedtime.
