Take Your Kid to Work Day

Cyp volunteered to take Ellis to work today.

"Sure!" I said (heh heh).

I wrapped presents and packed, tidied and sorted.

Felt guilty at about 2 and went to do some more shopping. As noted, was too lazy to walk to Target and spent $10 more dollars on Sponge Bob game. Figured we have blown the budget on our trip to Melbourne so what is $10 more. Cyp is always accusing me of false economy so I figured what the heck. Walking to Target would have cost $10 in wear and tear on my shoes.

Cyp got home grumpy (gee I wonder why) and we got into an argument about hiring a nanny. I had just politely pointed out that now he could see what a day was like in my life and instead of him saying "man you are right - you are superwoman." he said "let's figure out a way to hire a nanny."

I wanted praise - I guess he didn't want to grovel like I wanted him to. I don't want a nanny - that would just lead to more guilt in my life. I want accolades.

We had yummy pork (with crackling - they still seem to have that in Australia) and fell asleep at 7:30 (Cyp fell asleep on the couch at 9)
