The Medical System

The medical system is interesting here - you pay up front and then get reimbursed right away. So Cyp pays $60 for a doctor's visit and then gets $21. Ditto for any medical services.

The interesting one is the blood clinics. A couple of weeks after his bloodwork, he gets a cheque in the mail. The cheque is not for him - it's for the clinic. He then has to mail the cheque to the clinic - crazy! I guess it's their control system to make sure the clinic is not just billing for non existent patients?

    they bill ya - but it seems to take a long time for anything to happen here....
