My Friend the TV

Today we went to playgroup at the church. The pastor made a public announcement to us moms. There is a new park right next to the church and some public art is on the way. People get to vote for which piece of art they like the best. I guess the pastor does not like kangaroos
as he seemed quite passionate about the fact that we should vote against the 60 metre kangaroo. As soon as I got home, I had to check out the 60 metre kangaroo - darn - turns out it's only 20 metres. If it really was 60, I would have voted for it for sure. Can you imagine? That would be one big kangaroo.
Walking to and from playgroup takes it out of me, so that was pretty much it for the day. I watched Ellis and Rowan fight over Rowan's toys (again - isn't it supposed to be the other way around?). Rowan thinks it's fun - Ellis gets quite irate. After a couple hours of this, I caved and took us all to the pool. It's easier now - I put Rowan in his float and Ellis in his wings and I just have to make sure they don't escape their flotation devices. Colleen, our landlady, brought some pool toys and I managed to get a game of catch going between Ellis and Rowan. Rowan has already grasped the concept of playing catch (something Ellis is still working on as he does not want to ever give up the ball). We came back and TV came to the rescue until Cyp came home - it's getting hard to blog about the day when we don't do anything. After dinner we went out to the river to play with the catapult that Tracey sent (see Flickr). It has gotten a bit cooler out and it was a beautiful evening. I will miss Kangaroo Point.
