I asked her is she wanted to bring the kids over and she decided to be adventurous and come over. She has never been as far away as Toowong before. Yes - that is where we live. Toowong, or as Tracey put it "you got toowong on the test"
Tanya made it - phew. Ellis and Graham got down to fighting over toys that Ellis normally never plays with. Actually, they mostly got along. We decided we should jump in the pool when the kids started chasing each other around the house screeching at the top of their lungs. Tanya is much more strict than me and does not like it when the kids start to bounce of the furniture.
We jumped in the pool (felt like the bath). It is quite bright in the pool at midday. Tanya had her kids covered from head to toe and I suddenly realized we were underdressed. I ran around trying to find hats and goggles for the kids (and me) and by the time we were all set, the pool didn't feel so refreshing.
Tanya and kids stayed for lunch (they brought their own - what easy guests) and then headed home. Her kids nap - they both crashed on the way home - Lucky!
Actually, Ellis was fairly good - he had lots of things to keep him entertained and before long Cyp came in the door - looked like he'd just had a shower in his clothes - sweat! I mentioned we live on quite the hill didn't I?
It is so bizarre - we live on the same side of the river as the Uni now but it almost takes Cyp as long to bike as from Kangaroo Point. I do not understand the layout of this city at all.
Managed to watch a little TV on Cyp's computer. He bought a little antenna for it. They have free TV here in Oz. Everyone has TV antennas on their roofs as in days of old. Well - that's one less thing I have to budget for - yay!
