"how long has it been empty?" I asked.
"A week"
I tried to imagine it with our furniture. Nope .
"Yes, we're looking for something nice." I said.
"well, in that case - I just posted another one that is close to here, but is a completely different house."
After talking to her for a while, I decided that the nice one wouldn't work either.
I was glad this house didn't work - it seemed like a nice area except for the house that was directly across the street. Cars up on blocks in the dirt yard and a rather large dog watching our comings and goings.
The house was kinda cool - 80 years old so had some neat quirks and details, but needed some work.
Anyway Ellis wants a yellow house. Or a lemon one.
Monday is not a good day for seeing houses. Agents are busy submitting applications from showings on the weekends so that is all we saw today.
Stopped at Nandos on the way home. I think perhaps it may be cheaper here. Hooray - it was just as good.
The rest of the day was filled with fun outings - went to the waterpark and ran into Mireille and Helen (from the party yesterday - how funny is that!). We also went to Aldi (discount shopping) and picked up a fibre optic mini tree only to just now discover we are missing the cord. Dang!
Tomorrow we have a full day of house viewings. Not sure if any are what we will be looking for but.... Oh, the agent today gave us the address of a house that may come on the market it soon. It looks fabulous. I hope she calls me back!
Oh - I should mention that we went for another walk this evening (as we had such a nice night last night on our walk). As we were sitting on the pink bench Ellis said
"I'm Mr. Happy."
yup - today was a better day.
i'm glad ellis is mr happy...i think a lemon house with limes all over it would be appropriate
