So Ellis wandered into our room at 7 am this morning.
"Is today Thursday?"
"yes" I mumbled
"is it a school day?'
"yes" I mumbled again
"i don't waaaaaaaant to go to school."
"why not?"
"They make you sleep there"
"can't you just play quietly during nap time?"
"no, sniff, because it's put away time just before nap time."
"oh"
Ellis had to go to school anyway and he cried again when I left. When I went back he seemed pretty happy and he apparently slept for 2 hours (on Tuesday he slept for 2.5 hours).
I asked him about it when we were swimming tonight.
"So - did you nap at school today"
"yes"
"Did you feel all refreshed?"
"no, I felt angry with myself."
"why??"
"I did not want to sleep!"
