Today we had a birthday party at Lil Tigers so we sent G & G to the West End Market. They left before Ellis got up - poor little guy is tuckered out. I had to finally go in and get him up at 9 by saying "we have a birthday party at Little Tigers." This prevented the morning freak out. He was oddly subdued at the party (as compared to the hordes of other kids - it was a madhouse) although he sent his socks into the ball vacuum again so he had some fun.
Fortunately he wanted to leave early. We met up at home, had lunch and then headed to the beach. I chose the wrong route and we did a tour of the strip mall. We found it though, or we found the swimming pool at the edge of the ocean. Ellis and Rowan loved it (I liked it to) and after we were done we decided to look around the other side and there was the beach. Heh. Well - now we know where the closest beach is. We stopped for fish and chips and then headed home where I tried my darndest to lose dad, but he managed to follow me on the circuitous route home.
At one point we were waiting at one of those extra special long Brizzy lights when it finally turned green. The cars in front of us took their sweet time starting up and Ellis piped up from the back
"they're taking Forever.... what are they waiting for Christmas?"
yah - I must learn to be more patient.
It's good G & G are here - it's helping us to get out and explore a bit more. The beach looked nice.
