So here is a comparison of Ellis and Rowan at about the same in similar situations. Ellis was walking so was a few months older. Today we didn't do much - it was pouring again. We went to look at some patio furniture that someone is selling second hand. I think we will get it. Then we hit the mall as that is what you do in Toowong on a rainy day. Went to the library, went to Coles to get cake supplies. Ellis entertained the masses by doing little dances as he waited at the bottom of the escalators for me. He goes zooming down the escalator - wiggling his way through the people and then blocks the way nicely when they want to get off. He's pretty cute though when he does his funky dance so I don't think they mind too much. He gets a lot of pats on the head as people walk by. It is nice that everyone likes kids so much here.

We then went home and made Rowan's cake. Ellis commented that poor Rowan won't get to eat any of his cake as he is a baby but I assured him that as Rowan will be one, he gets to eat some cake. He certainly liked the beaters. It is impossible for me to get Rowan to sleep these days (he's become quite a pain actually - I pretty much get nothing done these days) and it finally took its toll at dinner. He fell right in the middle of dinner. He is still sleeping - even through our neighbours alarm which is currently going off and would wake the dead. We are not sure what to do about it.
Oh - we got both Suzy's and G. Anita's cards in the mail today. I haven't opened them yet. I will let Rowan do the honours tomorrow on his birthday.
