Today was swimming lesson day so we decided to go for a neighbourhood walk before the lessons. We made it the playground where we had to stop and play 10 minutes before we had to continue on. We were walking over a highway overpass when G. Neil called out and told us to walk down the middle - rather large spiders had taken over the sides of the overpass - we had forgotten to look up. Harmless ones - but it wouldn't have been good to walk through their webs and dislodge them! Midspan I said we had to turn back - couldn't be late for our swimming lesson. We crammed into the car again (Rowan and Ellis love having Grandma squished between them - there is almost continuous giggling from him now). We luckily found parking and had a great swim lesson. G & G. were dutifully impressed with the patience of the teachers. Only 2 kids in Ellis's class - he gets a lot of one on one time. We came home for lunch and then headed out to the Lone Pine Koala Sanctuary. We had gone there before and it hadn't been a great day - Cyp wasn't feeling well, it was hot, Ellis was tired and I accidently crushed his finger - so today was really good! We saw some great shows - Ellis got to touch a koala, feed the kangaroos, lorikeets (birds). It was great.
Came home threw our lamb roast into the oven - took longer than expected, so we didn't eat till 7 - so that meant G & G stayed up till 9 tonight.
