On Saturday I decided to introduce Cyp to the idea of walking to the citycat stop. It was all good until we passed the Regatta pub - then we both wanted to ditch the kids and have a leisurely breakfast of bacon and eggs. Oh well - we continued on and ended up - surprise surprise.. at the GOMA. That is where Ellis wanted to go. I think we have one more trip there with mom and dad and then thankfully, there will be a new exhibition soon.
We saw this crazy bird on the way to the museum. Wish I had a zoom on the iphone - he almost looked fake. His beak seemed to be on a hinge.
We didn't go to the waterpark (Ellis did not want to) so we came home and got ready to go to a park for a birthday party. It was a group party - three babies turning 1. The park was fantastic - Ellis just went off and played and played and I got to meet some new people - A Cdn CA that lives nearby (named Tracey). She has started up her own practice (she had one of the one year olds) and said she would help me when I wanted to go back to work. I may be asking her tax questions! We had a great time but unfortunately had to go as we had to return our movie. We stopped on the way home and got banandos (Nando's - but Ellis calls it banandos).
I was tired on Sunday but Cyp had that crazed - gotta get out - look in his eye so I sent him away. Ellis, Rowan and I went for a swim and then made brownies. It was a low key day. The rest of the time, Ellis did reading eggs on my computer - he is addicted. It's pretty cute though hearing him read aloud.
I am a cat. I am Sam. Sam pats the bat.....
Today is Monday - my day off :) Mom and dad are coming tomorrow. Can't wait to see what they think of Brisbane.
