On Saturday we didn't do much - Granita worked on her paper balls and Cyp ran around the house asking where things were for his trip. I decided we wouldn't drive him to the airport as Rowan is not a fun car baby these days. Ellis took art shots of the computer as he kept Granita company at the table (I posted a couple earlier). This is what happens when I leave my iphone lying around. After lunch we drove to a park - the Enchanted Forest. It's a nice one that I've been to before. My memory was hazy, but I thought there would be some Rowan accessible slides - there weren't but there was good dirt for throwing and I also took a ba that kept him entertained. I was hoping that Ellis would glom onto a kid (and there were lots there) and entertain himself, but he didn't really.
One good thing though - the kids seem to be playing together a bit these days. Rowan likes to be chased and tickled - I've assigned Ellis this task and so while I make dinner Ellis chases Rowan. It's good for a few minutes anyway. Eventually Rowan comes and hides behind me. He has a new habit of grabbing my leg and trying to pull me out of the kitchen.
Granita said she would stay up all night (as she had to be up at 4:30 to get to the airport on time). I found an alarm clock for her and I think she slept on the couch for a bit. I woke up periodically and had to get up to find my iphone to see what time it was. I didn't want to oversleep either. She couldn't miss her flight to Sydney - there was very little leeway for catching the next leg to Vancouver.
