Tuesday Play Date - Not Our House

We were supposed to meet Tanya, Graham and Leah at a park, but they didn't have a car on Tuesday so we ended up going to their house. Ellis and Tanya's kids get along well now, so we don't have to do too much intervention. Rowan even mostly coped without being too clingy.
The afternoon was a bit long - but it was finally time to go get our veggie box - I had thought about canceling it this week what with Cyp being gone, but then thought - nah - it is a highlight.
Did I mention the fruit we have been getting? It is amazing. The bananas are delicious (do you remember when organic bananas used to taste so much better than regular ones? - that is how the ones in our box taste). We get gold kiwis, lemonade fruit (kinda like a sweet lemon), mandarins, oranges, custard apples and lots of limes and lemons. Most of the food actually comes from within 50 miles - quite amazing. This week I got huge cloves or garlic and I'm slowly accumulating enough beets to cook them up for dinner. The basil seems to have stopped.

What with Cyp being gone, the kids have to rely on each other for entertainment these days. I haven't really needed to turn on the TV to get dinner ready - Ellis chases Rowan around they are almost playing together. At some point, Rowan comes to find me and hides behind my legs. I wonder what Ellis has done? He's sneaky. Rowan usually gets his revenge - he is a biter and hair puller.
