Play School Concert

On Sunday we had a Play School Concert. Play School is Australia's answer to Mr. Dressup. I had gotten the tickets months ago and had chosen the noon showing. Of course, noon is when Rowan chooses to nap now.
As Anita is here Cyp got to miss out. He was really sad about that.
Off we headed to the Gap State High School. The Gap is a suburb built between too hills (although they call them mountains here). Getting to the Gap is easy, but getting home is annoying as there seems to be only one lane out with a very short light and a bus lane for chiselers.
Anyway - of course we were early so I had to chase Rowan around the school grounds while we waited to get in. We got the grand tour. It's a big school.
I finally figured out to send Granita and Ellis to go get seats and Rowan and I eventually joined them.
I decided I should go into the child entertainment business - there must have been about 300 people there (at least) - 45 minutes long, $15 per ticket, 3 shows per day. $15,000? They had a basic set, they sang some basic songs (Wheels on the Bus etc) and the story was basically two people going on a picnic to find Humpty Dumpty - they meet a crocodile, a rabbit, a monkey and an elephant - all done by the two people. Oh - I can't forget Bill on keyboards. Anyway - Ellis (and Rowan till he fell asleep) loved it. He smiled and danced the entire show (albeit in his chair).
I've watched the TV show it is based on - it is fine - they have some good ideas, but I think a lot of childcare people could come up with some equally good ideas - Play School seems to have a monopoly though as they are broadcast on ABC. That said, all the kids loved it - amazing.
