Looking at houses made me realize I'm tired of living in an apartment with someone else's furniture, but it also made me realize that I don't like renting. That said - we weren't organized - we just printed off the list of open houses (that last 10 minutes here - that is it) and headed out. We put the GPS to the test as we criss crossed the city and suburbs going from open house to open house. I did get a better sense of what the suburbs look like. Cyp sat in the car as I would run in (and then out - only to try to get in on his side of his car - darn left hand side driving) at which point we would check the list and try to find the nearest open house.
We had a mid day break at his bosses house where we had a swim in their fabulous new pool and I got depressed about the how nice their house was compared to everything we had looked at. Next weekend we will have to have a better strategy.
We may have narrowed down some neighbourhoods - but it's hard - there is only one two lane bridge south of the city so we are really debating which side of the river we need to live on. Cyp thinks he can live on the opposite side (which is cheaper, flatter and recommended) and bike to work. Hmmm.
