Walker and Rowan

On Thursday we had our swimming lesson and just as I feared there was no parking (Uni has started). So I called up Cyp and went and got him so he could drive the car around while we were at the lesson. He ended up finding a spot so could come and watch. After swimming, Ellis played Wii and Rowan practiced walking with the walker and then Meg, Emma and Michael (across the back neighbours) came for a swim.
I cleared the pool of bugs and then we all hopped in. Afterwards the kids tried to play in Ellis's room and it was mostly ok except Ellis would chuck the odd thing at Michael (the little boy) and liked to poke and hit Emma. Fortunately, Meg seems to be an easy going mom and said "I think she's cute too." It's weird how Ellis is with certain kids. He kept saying that they were too close to him (they were not) - some kids he just acts like a little demon around and some kids he is really good. Weird.
On Friday I was determined to get out of the house so after dropping Ellis off parked the car in park and ride (for the City cat) and went to Southbank with Rowan for a playgroup there.
The playgroup is run by the Southbank Institute of Technology and their are helpers there that are training to be childcare workers. It would be an excellent playgroup for Ellis, but the only day we can go is Thursday and he has swim lessons. Rowan played for all of two minutes and then fell asleep and slept the rest of the time. I talked to other moms for a bit. He woke up as we were leaving so I decided to take the Citycat downtown to relive our days at Kangaroo Point - we hit the main library before catching the citycat home. It was good to see how easy it was to park and ride but did note that they must have run out of parking spaces because some cars were parked on the grass and had gotten tickets.
