On Saturday night we put Ellis to bed and then I got out the Easter booty for Cyp to hide. I was worried that we would all fall asleep before hiding eggs and Ellis would wake up to find out the Easter bunny hadn't made it. We have been barely making it to 8:30 these days. In fact, G. Neil got up to go to the bathroom at 7:30 the other night and Cyp made a little wager with G. Doreen that that would be the last we saw of him.
"oh no - he'll be back." said mom and then crazily bet Cyp a dollar. Twenty minutes later still no dad and mom had to fork over the $1.
So the eggs got put out before Rowan went to bed (as he can generally outlast me - this makes it very difficult to blog these days as he wants to poke buttons when I'm trying to type - tonight I got him to sleep on the bed and Cyp has crashed too - sometimes Rowan will stay asleep as long as some one else is there with him). Anyway - I came back into the living room to watch a bit of TV and Rowan was busily finding all the eggs that Cyp had hid. Made me question if he really is a boy. He was truly amazing - he was finding them everywhere and then he was hucking them across the room like balls, rolling them around etc until they started to turn into gooey foil covered messes. Cyp had to go and unhide all his eggs until I had finally given up on trying to watch TV and gone to bed with Rowan.
The next morning, Rowan watched with great interest as Ellis ran around and gathered up the eggs that Rowan had found the night before. What was this all about? I sure hope he can't remember!
