We decided to do another walk from the walk book and went to Karawatha Forest which was about 35 km away - southeast.It was a nice walk - thank goodness we took Bob - he came in handy. Ellis could play leapster and Rowan could sleep.
After we drove to Cleveland (as you take the ferry from Cleveland to North Stradbroke Island - where beaches are - I wanted to check it out). There wasn't much to Cleveland and the only place we could find for lunch was the rather upscale Lighthouse Restaurant. Oh well - we had to make do... We had a nice view of the Ocean (it's weird here - all you see if ocean - it just stretches out before you with nothing else) and a very tasty lunch.
We then drove back up the coast to Brisbane - it's very pretty - but no real beaches. We did find a water park...
Ellis was very subdued and even slept for a very long time - a sure sign he is sick. Today he has no voice - it's completely gone. He's been signing to me for what he wants. He seems like a completely different kid without a voice.
