It is quite the production trying to get out the door in the morning - we always forget something - on the day we were out all day, we only had one diaper. "CAREFUL WITH THE TABS" I stressed when we were changing Rowan's diaper that day - the tabs on those cheap Costco diapers cannot always be trusted and we didn't have any tape either. Today heading out the door we forgot the baby backpack. We definitely had to go back - I hate having to go back. It's such a relief to finally be in the car with all the crap and kids - it's like the main work for the day is done - it's such a drag to have to go back. So this time I made Cyp get out of our car and he and mom went back while dad and I continued on to get gas. At least it wasn't a total waste of time.
We headed up to Mount Tamborine - we were slightly crazy to do this as there was some sort of Easter Festival up there but oh well.
Hey - if we had gone to Toowomba this weekend, we could have gone to Easterfest - Australia's largest Christian Rock Festival. Dad was sure sad to have missed it.
The falls that we had hiked to last time up Mount Tamborine were a lot more impressive now with the rain and we found quite a few different areas including Knoll park where we had our picnic and saw a cool Lace monitor (some kind of lizard). The mountains here are funny - they kinda just bump up out of nothing and the parks seem perched on the edge - so there are cool views. After our picnic we headed off to Cedar Creek winery where I left dad and Cyp in the wine tasting room and took the boys on a glow worm tour. I thought I would spare mom the tour - but in fact, it was more geared to adults. Imagine being stuck in a completely dark cave where you couldn't see a thing with a writhing 1 year old and 3.5 year old. At least Ellis is low energy these days. They both did amazingly well considering it was pitch black and some guy was droning on about the life cycle of the glow worm. We finally escaped to the bright sunshine and were soon on our way back home.
