Chinese New Year's Dancing Lions

On Sunday we decided to take the train down to Chinatown for Chinese New Years. So after slathering on the sun screen we headed out. I decided to push the stroller on the way there (as it was downhill - heh). It only takes about 15 minutes to walk to the train station. Not bad. In the winter it should be good.
We only had to wait five minutes for the train. That's amazing. Ellis was super cute and had everyone giggling on the train as he kept coming over to me to ask me how many more stops - actually, he was telling me. He is quite bossy - wonder where he got that from. The train station is right in Chinatown so we didn't have to walk too far - but the mall where the events were located was super crowded and too hot. I could feel my irritability start to rise with my hunger. Cyp echoed my thoughts so we set out to find food. There was a Nandos, but that seemed to not be quite in the right spirit. I was looking for something dimsum like but wasn't having much luck. I finally spotted a place that seemed to have a lot of Asian clientele, so we went in there. This turned out to be a great idea as we had a window seat the the lion dance came right into our restaurant. Ellis loved it - Rowan was not so sure. After lunch (actually elevenses) we decided it was too hot to wait around for things to start (at noon - why do they start things at noon here when it is so hot) so we took the train back home again. We saw our lion dance, so things were good. I went to visit Deirdre's friend Bronwyn in the afternoon and left Cyp with the boys. When I got home, Rowan was actually sleeping and Cyp was looking a combination of proud and smug. Yay Cyp. Rowan was particularly whiny when he woke up - turns out he is sick (a cold I think) again. Today he has been suffering with a high fever in the obnoxious heat. It's very hot and muggy today.
