We then drove home and got trapped in our car as it was pouring. I stupidly thought I would let the light rain pass over us so we could run to our house as Cyclone Rene hit. We did have an umbrella - but I got soaked just getting that out of the trunk. Ellis was very pleased to use his umbrella. It wasn't that effective in the cyclone, but was a bit of an adventure.
I spent the rest of the day trying to dodge the kids who would take turns whining. Rowan was particularly bad and even went on a hunger strike. Needless to say - this is not a good situation for me as it is the only way I can get him to nap and I was feeling a tad bit of discomfort in the chestal region. NURSE you darn baby. He wouldn't - "get that thing away from me." I could tell that was what he was thinking.
Ellis and I had been doing okay but at 4:30 he lost it. I deal with it much better now. I ignore him. Cyp came home to all of Ellis's toys piled up in the hallway. Ellis didn't want his toys anymore.
Needless to say it was a short dinner - Ellis wouldn't eat, so he went to bed. Rowan writhed around screaming on the bed but not nursing. ARGH.
Finally he decided he could nurse. Ah the relief. What was up with that?
