Thursday Swimming

So now an 11 am swim lesson doesn't seem that late anymore. It has become a challenge for me to get out the door by then and unfortunately, Rowan immediately falls asleep upon getting into his car seat. How annoying. I spend the morning try to get him to nap and then he goes to sleep in the car and wakes up grumpy for his swim lesson.

I also woke up extremely grumpy yesterday for some reason and Ellis could do no right in my eyes). I think Ellis did enjoy his swim lesson (Cyp comes down to watch). He swims without waterwings at his lesson and seems to do quite well.

I tried to get Rowan to nap when we got home but he wouldn't and I was getting grumpier and grumpier so I said to Ellis - "let's go to the library and get ingredients for Lamingtons."

So off we set. On the way I apologized to Ellis for being a grump.

"I don't like it when you yell at me mummy." Man, did I feel even worse. The day sort of improved and Rowan napped for the car ride home (five minutes). At least it was date night and we got to go out. As noted, Rowan puts up a fight when he sees the sitters, but they say he stops crying about two minutes after we have left.

As we were driving home, we passed the Toowong Bowls club (about two blocks from our house) so we decided to pull in to check out. It was trivia night (last Thurs of every month) and they had the cheapest beer that Cyp has found yet. It reminded us of the University Golf club - kinda made me homesick.

Tried to resolve to be less of a grump on Friday.
